The Service Writer is responsible for scheduling and coordinating all service work and parts order entry for machine repairs in a manner that reflects the company's vision of working as One Professional Team while also managing all related work order and paperwork responsibilities.
Where applicable, guides the work of the Service Clerk(s).
Pay Rate:
$64,000-$88,000 annually Pay rate is dependent upon education and experience.
Essential Functions:

Initiates and closes all shop work orders as necessary Creates service estimate for customers prior to beginning work Coordinate with customer regarding service estimate, approval, prior to beginning work Schedules and maintains records on safety training, vehicle inspections, etc.
Handles all incoming calls pertaining to scheduling of shop work, and information concerning customer inquiries for all shop related areas Reviews work orders, warranty jobs, daily hours & determines Reviews and approves daily hours on each work order Reviews service Work In Progress for work orders closed in shop and open in service accounting Reviews all customer jobs with shop manager or designee to insure that work, as requested, was completed Complete & submit parts exchange core reports in a timely manner Organize & Maintain all paperwork for workorders, current library of publications, & file on PO's and canceled PO's Checks all requisitions for proper coding Figures dollar amounts on firm rates Other duties as assigned by manager Required Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED 2 years vocational training preferred 5 years' experience as a technician or comparable position 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience 3-5 years customer service experience 1-3 years sales experience 1-3 years supervisory/management experience Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Assigns work orders and schedules workload of technicians Directs Service Clerk in clerical functions where applicable Provides input into the annual Performance Reviews Physical Demands & Competencies:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
